Getting Started
Easysearch is the quickest way to add a search function to your site. It crawls your site, extracts text content, and creates a search page for your users (and an API for you to build your own).
Step 1: Sign Up
If you already have an account, visit the dashboard.
If not, visit the sign up page to create one. Then, verify your email address by clicking the link in your inbox.
Step 2: Create an Organization
Add a name for your organization, select a plan, and then enter the URL of your website.
If you selected a paid plan, you will be redirected to a checkout page. Until you complete the checkout process, your organization will exist on the Free plan.
Step 3: Verify your Domains
Navigate to your organization in the dashboard. Then, click the Domains tab.
There should be one domain listed already. Click “Verify”. Follow the instructions to add the DNS record, then click “Verify”. You may have to wait a few minutes for the changes to propagate.
Once your domain is verified, you can crawl its pages from any of your sources.
Step 4: Create a Search Page
Navigate to the API Keys tab. Click “Create API Key”. Give it a name, then click “Create”.
Give the API Key access to one or more sources and then link the domains you plan on accessing your search page from.
Go back to the API Keys tab. Click “Design Your Search Page”. If you are on a paid plan, you can play around with the customization options.
When you are ready, click “Get Code”. This is a snippet of HTML code that you can copy and paste into your website.
